Kidspiration and Chalksite

I will need more time to warm up to this software, but I can see how it would help students map their thinking and practice categorizing. I didn't quite understand the use of Kidspiration until I saw the notebook created by Lora Wallace. I think I didn't like the software immediately because it doesn't represent the way I think when I create a project or a paper, but for a student who is just learning to do this, I bet they would love the use of pictures.

Chalksite was a cool resource to use for a "gradebooking." I enjoy data entry and type much faster than I write, so this will probably be something I will use when I become a teacher. I like that it calculates the points and averages for me! :)
