Well, this is a bit late... :)

What about technology? What role should it have in the K-12 classroom and in your life as a teacher?

I believe technology is becoming even more important in the K-12 classroom because students are surrounded by it almost everywhere they go. As a teacher, I need to know what the students know--I need to keep up with technology in order to keep up with them!

I think technology should be incorporated into as many aspects of teaching as possible, but I don't think it should be a babysitter. Kids need an effective, loving, engaging teacher in addition to technology.

As a teacher, I personally want to know about new technology so that I can maintain a connection with the students, and so they don't consider me "ancient." I also know that technology can make my life easier!
